December has come and gone. There are probably hundreds of new engaged couples across the globe right now! The holidays are such a special time of year and an iconic time to pop the question! We are seeing pictures of shiny rings across social media and the excitement that comes along with it.
So, he got down on one knee. You are now engaged! What do you do next? Here are the top 3 things to do after he pops the question! Â
The second I got engaged I was on wedding planning mode immediately. I realized I need to sit back and enjoy the moment. Engagements and proposals will only happen once in your life (hopefully) so soak it in. I was told by so many people to just sit back and let it all sink in before getting into planning. I quickly calmed down and took everyone’s advice.

Take the first few weeks after he pops the question to enjoy your fiancée and look back on your life leading up to that special day….you’ll be glad you did.Â
You are gearing up for months of planning so now is the time to celebrate with loved ones, stress free. Pop the champagne, eat the cake, take photos and enjoy. Celebrating after a proposal is so special, especially if it was unexpected. My heart was racing for days after he popped the question. I felt so loved and so freggin’ excited that he locked it down. All I wanted to do was party! Â

You are going to be pulled in so many different directions once you start planning. Now is the time to just sit back and sip on some champagne and savor the moment.
My ring was about 2 sizes too big for me so I immediately went to the jewelry to have it resized before something happened to it. I know you want to show it off but if you lose it, there is nothing to show off! Unless your boo got it right the first time it doesn’t hurt to swing by the jeweler to get everything checked out!Â

It’s important to have it not only sized, but tightened and cleaned! Usually (in most not all cases) the resizing and cleaning come free with the purchase of the ring.
